Jointly organized by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal Government, WICV 2025 hosted over 4,000 representatives from government agencies, enterprises, and research institutions across more than 10 countries and regions. The conference spotlighted advanced technologies, industry trends, and practical applications, serving as a key platform to showcase China’s progress in AV development, foster global investment and cooperation, and facilitate dialogue between policymakers and industry leaders.

Dr. Tony Han, Founder and CEO of WeRide, delivered a keynote at the WICV 2025 safety forum titled “Safety First: Advancing Large-Scale Autonomous Fleet Deployment”, emphasizing that safety underpins all large-scale AV operations. This reflects WeRide’s approach of embedding safety at every stage of technology development, testing, validation, and daily operations.
