Another Commercial Breakthrough! WeRide Robotaxi Approved to Launch Fare-charging Services on Airport Expressway in Beijing

Beijing, June 27th, 2024 -- WeRide officially received the permit to conduct Robotaxi pilot commercial opertaions on airtport highway from Beijing Intelligent Connected Vehicle Policy Pilot Zone (hereinafter referred to as “Pilot Zone”). WeRide's Robotaxi is approved to conduct fare-charging services between Beijing Daxing International Airport and the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

With this approval, WeRide's autonomous driving passenger service have achieved full commercial coverage within the Pilot Zone, marking another significant breakthrough in the commercialization of WeRide's autonomous driving technology. After the service is opened to the public, citizens and travelers can download the WeRide Go App to select the nearest pick-up and drop-off points from 242 stations within the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area and the stations at Beijing Daxing International Airport. Passengers can also use the WeRide Go App to track the vehicle's status and estimate the fare in real time. Once the vehicle reaches the destination, passengers can pay the fare via WeChat. Since 2023, WeRide has continuously made breakthroughs in the Pilot Zone.
